9 years after Lokesh Kanagaraj made his directorial debut with Maanagaram, the filmmaker has now moved on to pursue a different suit, acting. His acting debut, DC, helmed by Arun Matheswaran, has now opened in theatres worldwide. The film also stars Wamiqa Gabbi and Sanjana Krishnamoorthy in lead roles, alongside Lokesh.

Even as audiences are stepping out of the theatres having caught the film's first show, they've already started posting their reviews on social media. Predominantly, fans have received the film positively, while some have said that the film will cater to cinephiles more than the general audience. Almost all reviews have highlighted Anirudh Ravichander's score for the film.

DC marks Arun Matheswaran's fourth directorial after Rocky, Saani Kaayidham and Captain Miller. The director has also written dialogues for Sudha Kongara's Irudhi Suttru. On the directorial front, Lokesh Kanagaraj is working on AA23 with Allu Arjun.
