Anurag Kashyap is all praise for Karthik Subbaraj's Dorothy, calls it 'pleasantly shocking'

Anurag Kashyap posted his thoughts on Karthik Subbaraj's Dorothy, which is set to premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival, through his Letterboxd profile

Just days after Karthik Subbaraj's next film was revealed to be titled Dorothy, director Anurag Kashyap took to his Letterboxd profile to pen his throughts on the film. Dorothy, which features Keerthy Suresh in the titular role, is set to premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival, and is set to open in theatres on September 25.

"Karthik Subbaraj's boldest and best work so far. So surprising and pleasantly shcoking that you just can not see it coming," wrote Anurag Kashyap about Dorothy.

Ilaiyaraaja is composing music for Dorothy, which is his 1540th film as a composer. The crew of Dorothy includes cinematographer S Thirunavukkarrasu, editor Ganesh Siva, production designer Kumar Gangappan, and stunt choreographer Dinesh Subbarayan.

Sananth and Rishikanth are also part of Dorothy's cast alongside Keerthy Suresh.

Karthik Subbaraj is producing the film under his Dhammam Films banner. Sikhya Entertainment and Jio Studios are also bankrolling Dorothy.

Anurag Kashyap's latest release was Bandar, which starred Bobby Deol in the lead.
