Jason Sanjay, son of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and actor-turned-politician Vijay, who gears up for the release of his directorial debut, has revealed that no commercial film has impressed him more than Yash-led KGF films, directed by Prashanth Neel.

Jason, who previously appeared alongside his father in a few film songs, is now making his debut as a director with Sigma. He has also acted in the film. Having studied filmmaking in the United States, Jason has been speaking to the media as part of the film's promotions.

During one of such interviews, Jason has reportedly named Prashanth Neel's KGF starring Yash as his favourite commercial film.

"KGF is my favourite commercial film. It is a fictional story set against a historical backdrop, but the way it convinces the audience while remaining thoroughly mass-oriented is remarkable. I also love the overall tone of the film. You can see that the director completely committed himself to the genre and the story," he said.

Headlined by Yash and released in two parts, KGF: Chapter 1 and KGF: Chapter 2 produced by Hombale FIlms, transformed the scale of Indian commercial cinema. The franchise not only emerged as a pan-Indian blockbuster but also influenced filmmakers across industries with its visual style, world-building and larger-than-life storytelling.
