Actor-turned-chief minister Vijay's son Jason Sanjay is gearing up for the release of his directorial debut, Sigma, starring Sundeep Kishan in the lead role. Ahead of its release, Jason has made some comments about the film and his personal life in an interview with Behindwoods TV that have been discussed widely on social media. On Friday, we reported about Jason expressing his desire to see Vijay star with Jason Statham in a hypothetical Hollywood film.

In another part of the interview, Jason Sanjay talked about the piece of advice he received from Vijay and about his father's victory in the recent Tamil Nadu Legislative Elections. The filmmaker described Vijay's win as "a historic revolution" and said that it has added to the responsibility for not just him but also his sister and the whole family.

"We need to carry forward and safeguard this extra level of responsibility and legacy," said the filmmaker regarding the impact of Vijay's victorious election campaign, which led to him becoming the Tamil Nadu chief minister.

Jason Sanjay also underscored the importance of being "careful and cautious" regarding his actions and words thanks to his new status of being the CM's son.

Then, Jason remembered the advice from Vijay that he still holds close to his heart. "I really like the advice he gave me. He wanted me to build my own identity and my own name. That is where I was also coming from," Jason said about what Vijay told him. The filmmaker shared that he and Vijay have "the same wavelength," which "complemented" what they wished to do in their lives.

Vijay has told his son to contact him for any help on the condition that the latter takes the "initiative" for it. "He told me, 'I would not come and ask you what you want.' He wanted me to learn many things through my own experiences. In that regard, I am really thankful to him, my mother and the rest of my family," Jason added.
