After the trailer launch and the announcement of Ilaiyaraaja joining the film, the makers of Lenin Pandiyan dropped the first single titled 'Unnai Nambi' on Monday.
The romantic number, which also speaks of the pain of separation, is also penned by Ilaiyaraaja and sung by Shweta Mohan. Lenin Pandiyan marks the reunion between Ilaiyaraaja and the production company Sathya Jyothi Films, after the iconic collaborations in Moondram Pirai, Pagal Nilavu, Kaaki Sattai, Kizhakku Vaasal, Idhayam, Thangamagan, Kaadhal Parisu, and Panakkaaran.
Directed by DD Balachandran, Lenin Pandiyan stars composer-lyricist Gangai Amaren in the lead, with actor-politician Roja Selvamani returning to Tamil films after over a decade. The film also marks the debut of Dhaarshan Ganesan, grandson of the legendary actor Sivaji Ganesan. Actors Shrita Rao and Archana Ravichandran star in prominent roles.
The rest of the technical team consists of cinematographer AM Edwin Sakay, editor Nagooran Ramachandran, and art direction by Athuuri Jeykumaar.
