The makers of Suriya's upcoming film Karuppu, which is releasing in theatres on May 14, have announced that the film's audio launch will take place in Madurai on April 26.

Taking to his X handle, the film's director RJ Balaji announced that the audio launch will take place in Madurai's Solaimalai College of Engineering on Sunday. Also, Sai Abhyankkar will be performing in the event.

The film features Trisha as the female lead, reuniting her with her Aaru (2005) co-star Suriya. The supporting cast includes Yogi Babu, acclaimed Malayalam actor Indrans, Sshivada, Lubber Pandhu fame Swasika, Natty, Supreeth Reddy, and Anagha Maya Ravi.

Karuppu's technical crew features music by Sai Abhyankkar, cinematography by GK Vishnu, editing by Kalaivanan, art direction by Arun Venjaramoodu, and stunt choreography by Vikram Mor. The project also marks a reunion for Suriya with his NGK producers, as well as RJ Balaji with his Sorgavaasal makers — SR Prabhu and SR Prakash Babu of Dream Warrior Pictures.

Suriya, meanwhile, has his next with Venky Atluri, Vishwanath & Sons, opposite Mamitha Baiju. His 47th film, directed by Aavesham filmmaker Jithu Madhavan, also stars Nazriya Fahadh and Naslen.
