Veteran actor-director Revathy was all in praise of Michael Jackson's recently-released biopic Michael, starring his nephew Jafaar Jackson in the lead. After watching the 'King of Pop's' life on the screen, Revathy said it took her back to the early 80s, when the acclaimed singer-songwriter, was all the rage.

Revathy wrote: "Watched Michael and was taken back to the early 80s when his music was a rage… what charisma he had, what an artist…"

She wrote in "memory of MJ" as she continued the post: "He owned the stage he performed on… there is a lot to learn about dedication, focus and being sensitive to the world around, believing that art and music can change the world!!! A true artist is one who is always trying to speak with their Art... in memory of MJ."

Michael is directed by Antoine Fuqua and written by three-time Oscar nominee John Logan. It follows the life of the American singer Michael Jackson, covering his involvement in the Jackson 5 in the 1960s to the 1980s Bad tour.

The biopic’s synopsis describes it as “an intimate look at the life and enduring legacy of one of the most influential, trailblazing artists the world has ever known,” chronicling Jackson’s rise from child star to global phenomenon.

The supporting features Colman Domingo and Nia Long playing Jackson’s parents, Joe and Katherine Jackson; Miles Teller appearing as John Branca, the singer’s long-time advisor and attorney; Larenz Tate portraying Motown legend Berry Gordy; Laura Harrier playing music executive Suzanne de Passe; and Kat Graham appearing as Diana Ross.

Additional cast includes Jessica Sula as La Toya Jackson, Liv Symone as Gladys Knight, Kendrick Sampson as Quincy Jones, Kevin Shinick as Dick Clark, and KeiLyn Durrel Jones as long-time friend and former security head, Bill Bray.
