We had earlier reported that filmmaker Lingusamy's Run (2002), starring Madhavan and Meera Jasmine in the lead roles, will be re-released on April 24. Lingusamy announced on Thursday that the film will be pushed to a later date.
In his post, Lingusamy wrote, "After a lot of re-consideration, also as our producer's #sivakasi is also releasing on 24th, we have decided to re-release our #Run on a different date, which will be announced later." (sic)
Starring Meera Jasmine in her Tamil debut, Lingusamy directorial has Shiva (Madhavan) coming to Chennai from his native Srirangam to pursue higher studies. In the turn of events, Shiva falls in love with Priya (Meera Jasmine) as he learns later that her brother is a gangster. He doesn't step back and restructure his pursuit of his ladylove.
Written and directed by N Lingusamy, the film also stars Raghuvaran, Atul Kulkarni, Vivek, and Anu Hasan. The technical crew of the film consists of music composer Vidyasagar, cinematographer Jeeva, and editor VT Vijayan. Apart from its action-packed screenplay, the film is also loved for its comedy track and songs.
