Composer Sai Abhyankkar's independent song 'Pavazha Malli' has been doing great numbers ever since its release on YouTube. It has amassed over 88 million views on YouTube already. The song features Sai himself dancing with joy alongside actor Kayadu Lohar.

Recently, Kayadu spoke about how the opportunity to feature in the song came to her. Talking to Galatta Plus, the actor said that she received a 'random' call from her manager in the middle of the night saying Sai would like to speak to her about something. "I understood that it would be for a song or maybe something else. But then when he called me at 2 o'clock in the morning and then, he was like, 'Kayadu, we have this one beautiful song and I really want you to be a part of it. I think it is going to blast and you are the perfect one for it.' And I was like, 'I am game for it. Send me the song, let me heart it once.'"

Kayadu Lohar said that 'Pavazha Malli' made an immediate impression on her and that she had no second thoughts about doing it. "I thought that it would be nice if I do a song which is also very cultural, rooted, and it is like a wedding number. So I thought let us give it a try and come back again."

Another reason why Kayadu decided to feature in the song is that she likes to dance. "I enjoy dancing, although I am not a trained dancer," the actor said before revealing that she rehearsed the steps for 'Pavazha Malli' just for two days because of her film commitments in Hyderabad. "I had sleepless nights because I was also shooting and promoting my film Funky, so I was shuttling between Chennai and Hyderabad. But it was fun," Kayadu added.

The actor will next be see in director Dijo Jose Antony's film Pallichattambi, co-starring Tovino Thomas and Vijayaraghavan, among others.
