Director Vignesh Shivan, whose upcoming film Love Insurance Kompany (LIK) is set for a release on April 10, shared the negative comments he received after the Ajith Kumar film he was about to direct did not materialise.

Speaking at the event, Vignesh Shivan said, "When that project, at the verge of kicking-off, was dropped it felt like a wedding halted during the last minute. Because the comments I received after it was similar to that of telling the bride how will she get married after the wedding getting called off. People told me to work on small and compact projects so that he can handle them well, but it was a sweet-coated way of saying that I am not a good enough director to work on bigger projects."

For the unversed, Vignesh Shivan was in talks to work on a film starring Ajith Kumar. However, it did not take off due to creative differences.

His upcoming film, LIK, starring Pradeep Ranganathan and Krithi Shetty in the leads, also features Gouri Kishan, Yogi Babu, Seeman, Shah Ra, Malavika, Mysskin, Anandaraj, and Sunil Reddy, among others.

Music composer Anirudh once again reunites with director Vignesh for LIK. The crew of the film also includes Ravi Varman as the director of photography, Pradeep E Ragav as the editor, T Muthuraj as the production designer, and Peter Hein as the stunt choreographer.

Nayanthara and Vignesh Shivan are producing LIK under their Rowdy Pictures, along with SS Lalit Kumar, who backs the film under his Seven Screen Studio banner.
