LIK trailer: Pradeep Ranganathan's Vibe Vassey is out to prove software can't replace human love

The film, written and directed by Vignesh Shivan, is set in 2040

The makers of Love Insurance Kompany, starring Pradeep Ranganathan, SJ Suryah, and Krithi Shetty, among others, dropped the full trailer for the film earlier this Saturday. The LIK trailer gives a fair idea about the plot of the movie, written and directed by Vignesh Shivan.

Set in 2040, the film stars SJ Suryah as the founder of a futuristic matchmaking application. "My application will find out and tell you which of your prospective partners are 'nice' and which ones are 'noise' because it is like God," exalts SJ Suryah's character in the Love Insurance Kompany trailer. Pradeep's unhappy bachelor character Vibe Vassey soon joins SJ Suryah's titular company as the voice of LIK. However, judging by the LIK trailer, it appears that his romantic relationship with Krithi Shetty's Dheema threatens to affect the company and their business plans. So much so, SJ Suryah's character threatens to destroy Vibe Vassey's love life, and the latter wows to prove that no application can replace the human feelings behind love.

Love Insurance Kompany's trailer captures the eccentricities and idiosyncrasies of both Pradeep and SJ Suryah's characters, reminding us of some of their recent performances. The movie also stars Yogi Babu, Seeman, Gouri Kishan, Shah Rah, and Malavika, among others. On the technical front, the film has composer Anirudh Ravichander, cinematographer Ravi Varman, editor Pradeep E Ragav, production designer T Muthuraj, and stunt choreographers Peter Hein, Chethan D'Souza, and Kecha Khamphakdee. Director Vignesh Shivan also doubles up as a lyricist for the film.

LIK is produced by Vignesh's actor spouse Nayanthara under The Rowdy Pictures banner, alongside producer-presenter SS Lalit Kumar of Seven Screen Studio. LK Vishnu Kumar also serves as co-producer of the film, which is slated for an April 10 release in theatres.
