Legend Saravanan's second film, titled Leader, hit theatres today, and the early reports from audiences suggest that the movie is better than expected. It is worth noting that the Saravanan Stores owner's debut film, 2022's The Legend, was met with severe criticism after its release. Partly because of this, not many were expecting big things from Leader, but early reports paint an encouraging picture about the movie, directed by RS Durai Senthilkumar.

The film follows a father who keeps his violent past hidden to protect his family, but his past catches up with him following the reentry of a powerful gangster into their lives. While many Leader reviews highlight that while the film follows a familiar story template, they also say that the movie's makers have executed it reasonably well.

Some of the reviews also point out a much-improved performance by Legend Saravanan in the film as compared to his debut outing. Many of them credit director Durai Senthilkumar for making the most of the actor and the film's plotline. It is worth noting that Durai Senthilkumar is also known for films such as Ethir Neechal, Kaaki Sattai, Kodi, and Garudan, all of which received positive feedback at the time of their releases.

Leader also stars Sham, Santhosh Prathap, Andrea, Payal Rajput, Lal, Amirtha Aiyer, Prabaharan, VTV Ganesh, Aishwarya, Iyal, Nisha, Mariam George, and Adithya Kathir.
