Kanima choreographer Sheriff meets MS Bhaskar, congratulates him on National Award win

MS Bhaskar received the Best Supporting Actor award at the National Film Awards for his role in the 2023 film Parking

Choreographer Sheriff met actor MS Bhaskar following the latter's win at the 71st National Film Awards. Bhaskar received the Best Supporting Actor award at the National Film Awards for his role in the 2023 film Parking. He shared the award with Vijayaraghavan, who won for the Malayalam film Pookkaalam.

A film by Ramkumar Balakrishnan, Parking focuses on a conflict between a tenant and a landlord over congested car parking space. Also starring Harish Kalyan in a key role, it won the National Award for Best Tamil Feature Film and Best Screenplay for director Ramkumar.

Sheriff shared a photograph with the actor on his official Instagram account. He captioned the post: "So happy to see MS Bhaskar sir receiving the National Award. Such a well-deserved honour for a wonderful artist and human being."

President Droupadi Murmu presented Bhaskar with the award at the Rashtrapati Bhavan in Delhi last week. Parking also won Best Tamil Film, as well as Best Screenplay for Ramkumar.

Sheriff has experience working in the industry for more than 15 years now. He rose to fame after winning the dance reality show Ungalil Yaar Adutha Prabhu Deva in 2009. Recently, he earned plenty of praise for the single-shot song sequence ‘Kanima’ from Suriya-Karthik Subharaj’s Retro.
