Kayadu Lohar, last seen in Ashwath Marimuthu's Dragon alongside Pradeep Ranganathan, is all set to be seen with Silambarasan in the actor's film with Ramkumar Balakrishnan. While the film was initially titled STR 49, it is currently on hold, and the title has moved to Silambarasan's film with Vetri Maaran.

In a recent interview with SS Music, Kayadu has now revealed that she auditioned for Gautham Vasudev Menon's Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu and even did a look test alongside Silambarasan for the film. "I was supposed to do another film with him [Silambarasan]. It was Gautham Menon sir's VTK, for which I even did a look test," she revealed when asked about her first interaction with the actor. Siddhi Idnani played the female lead in Silambarasan's Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu, which hit theatres in 2022.

Further detailing the conversation, she added, "Back then, our interaction was limited to greetings, as he was very focused on the set. When I met him again during the poojas for this film, I asked him if he remembered our photo shoot, to which he said, 'Yeah, of course I remember.' I then told him that I was happy and excited about finally getting the chance to work with him."

Meanwhile, Kayadu also has Idhayam Murali and Immortal in Tamil. In Malayalam, she is all set to star in Pallichattambi, headlined by Tovino Thomas. Speaking about the film in the same interview, she said, "It's a beautiful film. My look is amazing. Everybody will love that film. It's a period film, and it is set to release next year." Meanwhile, she is also doing a film with director Anudeep, which she described as an out-and-out comedy.
