The makers of Idli Kadai revealed that the advanced bookings for the film will open on 02.30 pm at September 27. Idli Kadai, is written, directed, and starring Dhanush, will release theatrically on October 1.

Dhanush produces the film under his Wunderbar Films banner, along with Aakash Baskaran, who is producing under his Dawn Pictures banner. Inban Udhayanidhi, son of Tamil Nadu's Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin, will get his first film credit as a presenter for Idli Kadai.

The cast for the film includes Shalini Pandey, Nithya Menen, Samuthirakani, Raj Kiran, Sathyaraj, Parthiban, and Arun Vijay, amongst others.

GV Prakash Kumar is composing music for the film, continuing his collaboration with Dhanush after Nilavuku En Mel Ennadi Kobam. The rest of the technical crew of the film includes Kiran Koushik as the director of photography, Prasanna GK as the editor, Jacki as the art director, and Peter Hein as the stunt choreographer.
