Yashika Aannand, who was last seen in Santhanam's DD Next Level, has signed her next as a lead. Titled Toss, the film was officially launched with a pooja ceremony on Thursday. Directed by Sagu Pandian, Toss also stars Rathan Mouli, Vijay TV-fame Yogi, Teja Sri, Sanjay Shankar, and others.

Touted as a crime thriller, the upcoming film is set to revolve around three murders and their connection to Yashika Aannand's character. "Yashika Aannand plays the lead role, while Teja Sri, from the Telugu film industry, plays a prominent role. We plan to complete the shoot in one stretch within 25 days across Kovilpatti, Virudhunagar, and Sattur. The love and support of the local people has been very motivating for us," director Sagu Pandian said in a statement. The team plans to release the film by later this year or early 2026.

Toss has music by Santhan Anibajagane, cinematography by Dharmathurai and editing handled by Dharmathurai. A Varatharaj and Nithyanandam serve as associate directors. The film is backed by Syed Jaffer under Black Diamond Studio. A Sundaramurthy is the executive producer.
