The makers of Arun Vijay's upcoming film Retta Thala dropped the first single titled 'Kannamma' on Friday.

The peppy romantic number featuring Arun Vijay and Siddhi Idnani is sung by Dhanush and composed and penned by Sam CS.

Retta Thala director Kris Thirukumaran made his directorial debut with Sivakarthikeyan's Maan Karate (2014), and then made Gethu (2016), starring Udhayanidhi Stalin, Amy Jackson, and Sathyaraj. Before filmmaking, Kris served as an assistant director to AR Murugadoss in Gajini, Ezham Arivu, Thuppakki, and Sarkar.

Apart from the male and female leads, the film also stars Tanya Ravichandran and Kannada actor Yogesh, who is making his Tamil debut. The star cast is rounded by John Vijay, Hareesh Peradi, and Balaji Murugadoss.

The technical crew of Retta Thala consists of music director Sam CS, cinematographer Tijo Tomy, editor Anthony, and stunt choreographers Anbariv. The makers are yet to reveal a release date for the film.

In addition to Retta Thala, Arun Vijay will be seen in Dhanush's directorial Idli Kadai, which is releasing in theatres on October 1.
