Vasanth Ravi and Mehreen Pirzada's latest film Indra is soon gearing up for an OTT release. The crime thriller, also starring Anikha Surendran, Kalyan Master, and Sunil, will stream on Sun NXT platform from September 19 onwards.
The film, directed by Sabarish Nanda, revolves around Vasanth Ravi's character who is a suspended police officer dealing with alcoholism and personal tragedy, who investigates a serial killer after his wife's murder.
Upon release on August 22, the film received mixed reviews. Our CE review of the film read, "Indra is more focused on being a gripping thriller film rather than being an engaging story with something new to say to the audience, and ends up being neither here nor there."
On the technical team, Indra had cinematography by Prabu Rahgav, music by Soppana Sundari-fame Ajmal Tahseen and editing by Praveen KL. The film was backed by Jaffar Sadiq from JSM Productions and Irfan Malik from Emperor Entertainment.
