The makers of the upcoming film Black Gold announced actor Ramar will join the film. Vetri, who was part of projects like 8 Thottakal and Muthal Pakkam, leads the cast of Black Gold.

Black Gold is written and directed by Dheeran Arunkumar, who has previously directed Theerpugal Virkappadum. M Moorthy is producing the film under his MM Studios banner. Meanwhile, Durai Annamalai will serve as an executive producer for Black Gold, which is currently filming.

Apart from Ramar and Vetri the cast of Black Gold also includes Priyalaya, Abhirami Venkatachalam, and Livingston. The latter was recently seen in Balaji Venugopal's Kumaara Sambavam, alongside Kumaran Thangarajan and Bala Saravanan.

Vetri was recently seen in Muthal Pakkam. CE's review of the film read, "In Muthal Pakkam, the major flaw it holds is its choice of narrative structure. The crime thriller chooses a non-linear way to tell its story, and it becomes incoherent as a result."
