With the release scheduled for September 19, actor Vijay Antony's upcoming film Shakthi Thirumagan, directed by Arun Prabu, has cleared the censorship formalities with a U/A certificate.
Marking his 25th film as an actor, Vijay Antony is producing Shakthi Thirumagan under his Vijay Antony Film Corporation, while also composing the music. The recently released trailer of the film suggests that the protagonist, played by Vijay Antony, is an enigmatic personality with different people knowing him differently. To some, he is a pimp, he is a power broker, to some he is a political analyst, and to some he is a criminal. It is to be seen who he really is and what he is up to.
Shakthi Thirumagan also stars Trupthi Ravindra, Sunil Kriplani, Vaagai Chandrasekar, Master Keshav, and Cell Murugan. Sunil Kriplani, known by his screen name Kannan, returns to films after four decades since playing the lead in Bharathiraja's film Kadhal Oviyam (1982), opposite Radha.
The rest of the technical team comprises cinematographer Shelley Calist and editor Raymond Derrick Crasta, both of whom reunite with director Arun after 2021's Vaazhl.
