With the film set for a release on September 5, the makers of KPY Bala starrer Gandhi Kannadi dropped a single titled 'Hindi Nahi Maalum'.

The gaana number, rendered by Deva, is composed by Vivek-Mervin and penned by the film's director Sherief.

Apart from Bala, Gandhi Kannadi also stars Balaji Sakthivel, Archana, and Namita Krishnamurthy, who is also a newcomer with projects such as November Story and Kannivedi, and Fall to her credit, in pivotal roles.

With the plot kept under wraps, Sherief, in an earlier interview to CE, said that the story of Gandhi Kannadi is about a mundane incident that leads to Kathir (Bala) encountering Gandhi (Balaji Shakthivel), and how it turns out to be a life-changing moment for the former.

Gandhi Kannadi reunites Sherief with his Ranam- Aram Thavarel cinematographer, Balaji K Raja. The rest of the technical crew includes editor Shivanandeeswaran.

The film is produced by Jayi Kiran under the Adhimulam Creations banner.
