Inban Udhayanidhi takes reins of Red Giant Movies

The announcement came along with the acquisition of the theatrical rights to Dhanush's Idli Kadai

Inban Udhayanidhi, son of actor-politician Udhyanidhi Stalin, is taking the stewardship of the production company Red Giant Movies, founded by Udhay in 2008.

The announcement came along with the acquisition of the theatrical rights to Dhanush's Idli Kadai.

Red Giant Movies commenced film production in 2008 with Vijay and Trisha's Kuruvi, directed by Dharani. The banner has also produced Aadhavan (2009), Manmadhan Ambu (2010), 7 Aum Arivu (2011), Oru Kal Oru Kannadi (2012), Neerparavai (2012), Vanakkam Chennai (2013), Manithan (2016), and Maamannan (2023). The banner had two releases this year: Kadhalikka Neramillai, directed by Kiruthiga Udhayanidhi, and Kamal Haasan-Mani Ratnam's Thug Life.

Meanwhile, Idli Kadai stars Arun Vijay, Nithya Menen, Rajkiran, and Samuthirakani, among others. On the technical team, the film has music by GV Prakash Kumar, cinematography by Kiran Koushik, editing by Prasanna GK, and production design by Jacki.

The film will release in theatres on October 1.
