Vishnu Vishal has addressed the audience through a statement, that was shared on social media. The statement comes on the eve of the release of his next film, Aaryan.
Taking to his X handle, the actor wrote, "It's been three years since I've had a release as a solo lead, and Aaryan feels like the right film to make that return — because it's everything I've been waiting for: intense, fresh, and unlike anything I've done before." He went on to thank the director Praveen, editor San Lokesh, cinematographer Harish Kannan, music composer Ghibran, and his castmates Shraddha Srinath, Maanasa Choudhary, and Selvaraghavan.
Vishnu added, "People often say, 'leave your brains at home' while watching some films. For Aaryan I'd gently say — please put your thinking caps on and experience the film."
He concluded the note by writing, "And yes... a small request — don't watch Ratsasan before stepping into the world of Aaryan.
The film is directed by Praveen K, with Vishnu Vishal backing it under his namesake banner, Vishnu Vishal Studioz. Manu Anand has written additonal screenplay for the film.
Earlier, Vishnu Vishal addressed the comparisons between Aaryan and the 2018 thriller Ratsasan, by wearing a t-shirt which had "Not Ratsasan", printed on it. Directed by Ram Kumar, the 2018 was an investigative thriller that followed Vishnu Vishal as an amateur cop, who uses his knowledge about serial killers, to hunt a real one plaguing the streets of Chennai.
