Mani Ratnam praises Mari Selvaraj's Bison, calls director's voice "important"

Mari Selvaraj's Bison Kaalamaadan is based on the story of kabaddi player Manathi Ganesan, an Arjuna Awardee

Mari Selvaraj has taken to social media to share the words of Mani Ratnam, who praised Mari and his film Bison Kaalamaadan. The film starring Dhruv Vikram in the lead, was released on October 17.

Through his X handle, Mari shared the words of Mani Ratnam, who said, "Hi Mari, Just saw the film. Liked it a lot. You are the Bison. Proud of your work. Keep it going. This voice is important."

Thanking Mani Ratnam, Mari wrote, "Starting from Pariyerum Perumal, it is your encouraging words that have encouraged me, and for that I thank you with great admiration."

Bison is based on the story of kabaddi player Manathi Ganesan, and has crossed Rs 55 crores in its worldwide collection. The film stars Anupama Parameshwaran, Pasupathy, Rajisha Vijayan, Lal, Ameer, and Aruvi Madhan, among others.
