'King Diesel' is a typical 'mass hero elevation' number composed by Dhibu Ninan Thomas, sung by Arivu and Amogh Balaji, who has penned it with Mohan Rajan.

Starring Athulya Ravi as the female lead, Diesel is written and directed by Shanmugam Muthusamy. Devarajulu Markandeyan produces the film. V Kishore Kumar serves as an executive producer for the film. Third Eye Entertainment and SP Cinemas are the banners backing the film.

The film, which opened to mixed reviews upon release, follows the syndicate of black market sellers of crude oil led by Manoharan (Sai Kumar) and his foster son 'Diesel' Vasu (Harish Kalyan), flying in the face of the authorities who disrupt the livelihood of fishermen. A lot is at stake when their monopoly is contested.
