Ken Karunaas' directorial debut kicks off with a pooja

The film is billed as a fun entertainer around school life, which features Ken, Devadarshini and Suraj Venjaramoodu in central roles

We had earlier reported that actor Ken Karunaas, known for his performances in Asuran and Viduthalai 2, is turning a writer and director for an untitled film. The makers recently announced that music composer GV Prakash has joined the team. Apart from the two Vetri Maaran films, Prakash also has served as a composer in Vaathi, which also starred Ken.

The latest update is that the film has officially begun with a formal pooja. The event was graced by K-town's big names such as Vetri Maaran, Vishal, Karthi, and RJ Balaji. The inaugural event was also attended by Ken's parents, actor Karunaas and singer Grace Karunaas.

The film is billed as a fun entertainer around school life, which features Ken, Devadarshini and Suraj Venjaramoodu in central roles.

Ken, Vignesh Srikanth, and Eshwar Santhanalakshmi are writing lyrics for the film. The crew of the film includes Viki as the cinematographer, Nash as the editor, and Ramu Thangaraj as the editor.

The upcoming film is produced by Karuppiah C Ram, Sulochana Kumar, and Kali Rajkumar. Paarvathaa Entertainments and Street Boy Studios are producing the film, tentaively dubbed Production No 1.
