At the thanksgiving meet for their latest film Dude, the film's lead actors and makers talked about the factors that helped make it a "95-crore-grossing" film. Pradeep spoke highly of his co-star Mamitha Baiju, for whom the film marks her debut in Tamil cinema. Pradeep called her "a great performer" and substantiated his claim by referring to a scene in the film. The said scene involves Mamitha's character embracing her father and telling him that her lover, played by Pradeep, does not have a lot of money and must earn going forward. According to Pradeep, Mamitha raises her eyebrow a little bit to make the emotional scene work well. "Every time I watch the scene, those around me say, 'Look how well she is acting,'" said Pradeep. He added that Mamitha brought such subtle nuances to her character, thus making it effective.

Pradeep also thanked his Dude director Keerthiswaran for providing him with the opportunity to star in the film, which he called 'beautiful'. He said that while the film has sparked much debate around its content, everyone has received Keerthiswaran's intended message with it. "There are many layers to it the more you watch the film," he said.
