After his memorable turn in Ratsasan, Vishnu Vishal is once again playing a police officer pursuing a serial killer in his upcoming film, Aaryan, directed by Praveen K. Interestingly, Vishnu revealed in a recent interview that the film is named after his son. Speaking to Galatta Plus, the actor said, “Ratsasan gave me recognition across India. It is my calling card.” He continued, “However, you will be surprised to know that I received more recognition for Gatta Kushti as compared to Ratsasan because, by then, OTT platforms became more prevalent across the nation.” The actor also stated that he firmly believes Aaryan will offer audiences nationwide “a new experience,” and he attributed this confidence in his project to the decision of naming it after his son. “If I do not have it and if my son grows up, a few years down the line, he would ask me, ‘You once named a film after me and it flopped.’”
Aaryan also stars Shraddha Srinath, Maanasa Choudhary, and Selvaraghavan in prominent roles. Vishnu himself produces the film under his namesake banner. The film brings Vishnu back together with his FIR director Manu Anand, who serves as its additional screenwriter. It is slated for an October 31 release in theatres.
