As promised earlier, the makers of Suriya's upcoming film Karuppu, written and directed by RJ Balaji, has dropped the first song from the film a while ago on Diwali. Suriya literally lords over the lyrical video of 'God Mode', giving a glimpse into his intensity with striking poses and his charismatic charm with elegant dance moves. Composer Sai Abhyankkar‬ has also sang the fast number alongside Gana Muthu. The song has lyrics by Vishnu Edavan.

Karuppu stars Trisha in the female lead, opposite Suriya who plays a lawyer named Saravanan in the film. It reunites Suriya with Trisha after 2005's Aaru. The film's cast also includes Indrans, Mansoor Ali Khan, Natty, Swaswika, Anagha Maya Ravi, Supreeth Reddy, and Sshivadha, among others.

Produced by Dream Warrior Pictures' SR Prakash Babu and SR Prabhu, the film is expected to hit theatres soon. The first song comes a year after the makers launched the film, with the tentatively title Suriya 45. The makers also released a teaser on Suriya's birthday earlier this year that promises an action-packed drama with references to Suriya's previous films, such as Ghajini.

On the technical front, Karuppu also has cinematography by GK Vishnu, editing by Kalaivan, and stunts by Anbariv and Vikram Mor.
