Dude, starring Pradeep Ranganathan and Mamitha Baiju in the lead roles, has grossed 22 crore from theatres worldwide, revealed Mythri Movie Makers a while ago. The production house made the announcement with the caption, "The DUDE DIWALI BLAST takes off on a BLOCKBUSTER note at the box office." As reported earlier, the film has grossed more than 10 crore from theatres in India.

The film, written and directed by Keerthiswaran, tells the story of cousins (Pradeep and Mamitha) starting a new event-planning venture. When one of the two open up about their romantic feelings to the other, things become complex between them.

The film also stars Sarathkumar, Rohini, Hridhu Haroon, and Neha Shetty, among others. In a recent promotional event, Pradeep called it a small Diwali entertainer with a socially relevant message. He also revealed that Dude is an altruistic person who draws contentment by making others happy.

Dude is clashing with Mari Selvaraj and Dhruv Vikram's Bison and Harish Kalyan-Athulya Ravi's Diesel at the box office. Audiences are looking forward to seeing which film emerges as the winner at the Diwali box office clash. At the same time, Bison producer Pa Ranjith conveyed his best wishes to the makers of the Pradeep Ranganathan starrer and the Harish Kalyan film.
