Dude social media reviews:

After delivering two hits with Love Today and Dragon, Pradeep Ranganathan has once again stepped into theatres hoping to give a hatrick blockbuster, and according to many social media users, he has given what he and the makers have promised the audiences - a clean "Gen-Z-coded enterainer" and a "blockbuster".

Also starring Mamitha Baiju as the female lead, Dude, directed by debutant Keerthiswaran, has also been hailed as a fun-filled film with a "solid, engaging, and interesting first half," according to a user. Another person called it an "energetic show" and hoped that the film would break the Rs 100 crore mark at the box office.

A person with the handle 'Indian Cinema Lover' posted that while the first half started slow, it had an "unexpected Interval block" with a second hald that starts with a bang. "Second half kicks banger with fiery start with twist and turns in the climax!" he said.

The praise also came along for the social messaging that the film carried and for Sai Abhyankkar, who had made his Tamil cinema debut as composer with Dude.

On the other hand, the responses have also been equally mixed as a few noted that the story was "average" and an "old wine in a new bottle". One person called it "okayish" while underlining that it might work for a few. "Performances are good, 1st half is Good, and 2nd half moves to the different pattern and completes with okayish watch," he said, praising Pradeep's performance. Reiterating the same about his acting, another person by the name 'BK' said that he is "going to be a force to reckon with." A few X users also called it an "one-time watch".

Dude also stars R Sarath Kumar, Hridhu Haroon, Rohini, Aishwarya Sharma, and Dravid Selvam, among others. It is produced by Naveen Yerneni and Y Ravi Shankar, with Anil Yerneni serving as the co-producer. Mythri Movie Makers has backed the film.

This is Sai Abhyankkar's Tamil cinema debut as a composer. The rest of the crew of the film includes Niketh Bommi as the cinematographer, Barath Vikraman as the editor, Latha Naidu as the production designer, and Yannick Ben and Dinesh Subbarayan as the stunt choreographers.
