Nivin Pauly took to social media to reveal that he has begun shooting for Benz. The film, which stars Raghava Lawrence in the lead, will be the latest film in the Lokesh Cinematic Universe (LCU).

Benz is directed by Bakkiyaraj Kannan, who has previously directed Remo (2014) and Sulthan (2021). This is the fourth film in the LCU after Kaithi (2019), Vikram (2022), and Leo (2023). Lokesh Kanagaraj is producing the film along with Sudhan Sundaram and Jagadish Palanisamy. Pradeep Boopathi serves as the creative producer on the film. Passion Studios, G Squad, and The Route are backing Benz.

With Raghava Lawrence playing the titular character, Nivin Pauly was revealed to be playing Twin Fish Walter, in a short teaser that was released in June. Actor Samyuktha is also part of the cast of Benz.

Sai Abhyankkar, who is making his Tamil film debut with Dude, is composing music for the film. The technical crew of the film includes Goutham George as the cinematographer, Philomin Raj as the editor, and Jacki as the art director.
