On the eve of Dude's release, director Keerthiswaran took to social media to thank his collaborators. Pradeep Ranganathan stars in the film, which is Keerthiswaran's directorial debut.

Taking to his X handle, the director wrote, "In this moment I sincerely thank my hero, PR, for his trust in me. I truly wish Dude will be your new acting showcase from tomorrow."

He added, "Special thanks to my darling Sai Abhyankkar, we are making our debut together. I hope you love our combo. Thank you Sarath Kumar sir, Mamitha Baiju, Rohini ma'am, and all the cast and crew for their love and support. It truly reflected in the film. Also, thank you Sudha Kongara ma'am for taking me into your direction team."

Keerthiswaran also thanked Rajinikanth, AR Rahman, director Vikraman, Alfred Hitchcock, Billy Wilder, Vadivelu, and director Bong Joon-ho, for teaching him 'cinema in their own ways'.

He has also called the film as a story about the right to love, and an original personal statement.

The cast for the film includes Hridhu Haroon, Aishwarya sharma, Dravid Selvam.
