Bigg Boss Tamil 9 day 6 highlights: Vijay Sethupathi slams Kamrudin for negligence, warns Parvathy on decorum

The first weekend episode of Bigg Boss Tamil 9 began with Vijay Sethupathi setting the tone for a no-nonsense season. The host minced no words as he dissected the contestants’ performances and pointed out that while everyone had begun playing their individual games right from day one, they had collectively failed to focus on the week’s primary challenge, managing with a limited water supply.

Vijay Sethupathi’s strongest criticism was reserved for Kamrudin, who was in charge of supervising water usage in the house. The actor reprimanded him for neglecting his duty and sleeping on the job, which led to the house running short of water for a couple of days. When Kamrudin defended himself, Sethupathi accused him of “playing politics to cover up his negatives” and sternly warned him against using offensive language towards fellow contestants. Similar advice was extended to Diwakar and FJ as well.

The episode also saw emotions running high among several housemates. Aurora Sinclair was visibly upset after being called out for not contributing to the group’s efforts, while Aadhirai was criticised for failing to cooperate with others. Both contestants appeared hurt by the remarks, leading Aadhirai to comfort Aurora. Sethupathi later clarified that his feedback wasn’t personal and was intended only to help them perform better in the game. He also advised Diwakar to “cut down the theatrics” and behave more naturally.

In an interesting twist, the host initiated a special activity to test the contestants’ honesty. A clapboard was sent into the house, and everyone was asked to “clap” it in front of whoever they felt was “acting” during the first week. Most contestants pointed fingers at VJ Parvathy, calling her fake. Parvathy laughed it off and made faces during their explanations, prompting Sethupathi to interrupt her mid-reaction.

He told her, “You might take this in your stride and be cool. That’s your wish, but maintain the dignity and decorum while others are talking.”

Later, Parvathy broke down over how the episode unfolded. She expressed disappointment that almost all contestants had turned against her, recalling how the audience clapped when her name was mentioned. Fighting back tears, she said, “I am not a character that everyone will agree to,” and revealed that this backlash was exactly why she had been hesitant to enter Bigg Boss. Kalaiyarasan and Diwakar tried to comfort her, but she remained visibly shaken.

Vijay Sethupathi ended the episode without saving any participant from elimination. The elimination process if reserved for the Sunday episode of the show.
