The other day, Narain revealed through social media that he met Tabu recently. The actor posted a photograph featuring him with the Bollywood legend from Kalyan Jewellers' Navaratri Celebration event. In the post, Narain pinned a portion of the song ‘Enna Solla Pogirai’ from Kandukondain Kandukondain, starring Tabu, Aishwarya Rai, Mammootty and Abbas, among others.

The actor expressed his joy at meeting the “super talented” Tabu and highlighted the unique connection between their respective roles in two major action films. Narain and Tabu played lead police officers in director Lokesh Kanagaraj's Tamil blockbuster Kaithi and its Hindi adaptation, Bholaa, respectively. Narain portrayed a dedicated inspector named Bejoy in Lokesh’s film, while Tabu played his counterpart, SP Diana, in the Hindi remake directed by and starring Ajay Devgn. In his post, Narain also described Tabu as one of his favourite actors.

While Bejoy meets his end in the 2019 original, Narain recently revealed that he is in talks to appear in the film’s anticipated sequel, Kaithi 2, starring Karthi and directed by Lokesh.

Kaithi kickstarted the now-popular Lokesh Cinematic Universe (LCU), which also includes films such as Vikram and Leo. The 2019 film follows a former convict (Karthi) who helps Narain's cop take a group of drugged police officers to a hospital.
