As film director Mari Selvaraj's upcoming film Bison Kaalamaadan is set for a Diwali festival release on October 17, the filmmaker spoke highly of the film's male lead, Dhruv Vikram.

In a recent interview, Mari recalled how much Dhruv Vikram struggled to prepare for the movie. "After a point, I found it too hard seeing him toil a lot. I asked him if he could make a movie out of another story. Dhruv replied, 'You have trusted me with this story; we cannot go back. This is your dream project. I trust you like my father with the hope you will take care of me'. I was emotionally moved when he said this. It was with his positivity that we proceeded with Bison."

Written and directed by Mari Selvaraj, with music composed by Nivas K Prasanna in his first collaboration with the director. The film will be one of many releasing on October 17, coinciding with the Diwali festival.

The cast for Bison Kaalamaadan includes Anupama Parameshwaran, Ameer, Lal, Rajisha Vijayan, Azhagam Perumal, Aruvi Madhan, and Anurag Arora.

The film's crew includes Ezhil Arasu K as the cinematographer, Sakthi Thiru as the editor, Kumar Gangappan as the art director, and Dhilip Subbarayan as the action choreographer. Pa Ranjith is producing the film along with Sameer Nair, Aditi Anand, and Deepak Segal. Sunil Chainani, Pramod Cheruvalath, and Prasoon Garg serve as co-producers on the film. Applause Entertainment and Neelam Studios are the banners backing the film.
