Dhanush's fourth directorial, Idli Kadai, in which he also stars in the lead role, has hit theatres. While Tamil Nadu’s earliest show is at 9 am, fans across India have caught the film already and have taken to their respective social media handles to pen their opinion on the film. So far, the film has been receiving positive to average reviews, with praise for the first half as well as for being a family entertainer. However, some of these reviews have also called the film melodramatic with a predictable storyline.

Idli Kadai also stars Nithya Menen, Sathyaraj, Arun VIjay, Shalini Pandey, Rajkiran, and Geetha Kailasam, among others.
