GV Prakash to headline a film under Pa Ranjith's Neelam Productions

GV Prakash had two releases as an actor this year: Kingston and Blackmail

Actor-composer GV Prakash, who is attending the 56th edition of IFFI Goa, announced that he will next lead a film bankrolled by Pa Ranjith's banner Neelam Productions.

Speaking at the sidelines of the film festival, he said that the official announcement of the film will be made in February 2026. Revealing details about the co-stars of the untitled film, he said he will share screen space with Malayalam actor Sreenath Bhasi and Telugu actor Sunil.

GV Prakash had two releases as an actor this year: Kingston and Blackmail. Kingston, directed by Kamal Prakash, marked GV Prakash's 25th film as lead. Opening to polarised reviews, the film also starred Divyabharathi, Chetan, Azhagam Perumal, and Elango Kumaravel, among others.

As a composer, he worked on multiple big-ticket releases, including Ajith Kumar's Good Bad Ugly, Dhanush's Nilavuku En Mel Ennadi Kobam and Idli Kadai, and Vikram's Veera Dheera Sooran: Part 2.

He is also expecting several big releases in 2026: Suriya-Venky Atluri's Suriya 46, Dhanush-Vignesh Raja's D54, Sivakarthikeyan-Sudha Kongara's Parasakthi, and Dulquer Salmaan-Pavan Sadineni's Aakasamlo Oka Tara.
