The International Film Festival of India (IFFI) concluded in Goa also by honouring Rajinikanth on completing his 50-year-journey in cinema. Many have since congratulated the superstar for the achievement. The latest to do so is Rishab Shetty, the star and director of the insanely popular Kantara film franchise. Rishab, one of the invited guests at the festival, said that thousands of people, including himself, took the superstar as their inspiration for foraying into the film field. "I pray to the almighty that you get to contribute further to Indian cinema," Rishab said, referring to IFFI's lifetime achievement award winner. Subsequently, Rishab also received a symbolic crown from the representatives of the Karnataka government for the tremendous success of Kantara: Chapter 1, which grossed over 800 crore from theatres worldwide.

The person who presented Rishab with the crown called him the "King of Karnataka," presumably for his film's undisputed reign over the box office. Coming back to Rajinikanth, the actor has multiple projects at various stages of development. He is set to come back together with Kamal Haasan after a long time with an upcoming film. Meanwhile, production on Rajinikanth's next film, Jailer 2, the sequel to his 2023 film with Nelson Dilipkumar, is on the verge of its completion.
