After a successful run in theatres and OTT streaming, the makers of AR Murugadoss and Sivakarthikeyan's action entertainer Madharaasi have dropped the original soundtrack of the movie on Friday.

The film's OST, composed by Anirudh, features 19 soundtracks spanning over 22 minutes.

The film, the first collaboration for SK and Murugadoss, centres on Raghu (Sivakarthikeyan), who has Fregoli Delusion and is pulled into a gun smuggling racket as he tries to stop weapons from reaching common citizens, driven by personal motives.

The film received mixed to positive reviews upon its release on September 5. An excerpt from the CE review reads, "In many ways, Madharaasi is a solid comeback for Murugadoss, who was facing an extended slump in his career. It acts as a showreel for the action avatar of Sivakarthikeyan. It allows Rukmini to make a solid mark in a role that isn’t relegated to being a damsel in distress, and is, in fact, the reason why the wheels of the film are set in motion."

The film that stars Rukmini Vasanth as the female lead also stars Vidyut Jammwal, Biju Menon, Shabeer Kallarakkal, and Vikranth. The technical crew of the film includes Anirudh as the music composer, Sudeep Elamon as the cinematographer, and Sreekar Prasad as the editor.
