Keerthy Suresh is currently busy promoting her upcoming film, Revolver Rita, which is gearing up to hit theatres on November 28. In a recent interview, the actor has revealed that she was not given any film opportunities for nearly 6 months after her National Award-winning performance in Mahanati.
She reportedly said, "After the release of Mahanati, I didn't get a film chance for nearly 6 months. No one narrated a story to me." But the actor didn't let her spirits down. "I didn't do anything wrong. I took it positively and used the break for a makeover. Meanwhile, I believed that filmmakers are taking the time to shape a unique character for me."
Keerthy's portrayal as the iconic yesteryear actor Savitri won tremendous praise and critical acclaim. The film, helmed by Nag Ashwin, was a massive commercial success and also won accolades for the songs by Mickey J Meyer, along with Ashwin's screenplay and direction. The film won Keerthy her maiden National Award at the 66th National Film Awards, solidifying and establishing her career in the South Indian film industry. Mahanati, which was also dubbed and released in Tamil and Malayalam, won the Best Feature Film as well as Costume Design during the same ceremony.
Revolver Rita is helmed by JK Chandru, who previously directed Naveena Saraswathi Sabatham. The film is produced by Sudhan Sundaram and Jagadish Palanisamy under their Passion Studios and The Route banners, respectively.
The cast of the film includes Radikaa Sarathkumar, Super Subbarayan, Sunil, Ajay Ghosh, Redin Kingsley, John Vijay, Kalyan, Suresh Chakravarthy, Kathiravan, Sendrayan, Augustin, Blade Shankar, Ramachandran, Akshatha Ajith, Kuhasini, and Gayatri Shan.
The crew of Revolver Rita includes Dinesh Krishnan B as the director of photography, Praveen KL as the editor, MKT as the art director, and Dhilip Subburayan as the stunt choreographer. Revolver Rita is all set to hit theatres on November 28.
