Friday trailer: Politics and revenge intertwine in this gangster crime thriller

Helmed by Hari Venkatesh, Friday stars Dheena, Mime Gopi and Anish Masilamani in lead roles. It is set to his theatres on November 28

Dheena takes justice into his own hands against a gangster and politician in the trailer for Friday, the upcoming gangster crime thriller film. The trailer was unveiled on Thursday for the film, which is helmed by Hari Venkatesh.

The trailer shows Mime Gopi as a politician and Anish Masilamani as his hitman. When some kind of injustice is meted out to Dheena, a commoner, he decides to take revenge, which comes with its own package of violence and bloodshed.

Backed by Dakdam Motion Pictures, the film also stars Ramachandra Duraraj in a pivotal role. Kalaiarasan, Chithrasena, and Sidhu Kumaresan form the supporting cast of Friday.

According to reports, the film is set to follow a non-linear narrative screenplay style, unfolding on a single night and developed around various thrilling incidents. Some reports also suggest that a lot of scenes for the film were shot around the Kolachal coastal area and its harbour.

Surya Gandhimathi has co-directed Friday with Hari Venkatesh. On the technical front, the film will feature cinematography by Johny Nash, with additional camera work by Kavin Asker and Nataraj. Also billed to be a revenge thriller, the film's score is handled by Dumae. Pravin is the editor of the film, while Karthi Loga is the art director.

The film will open in theatres on November 28, alongside Keerthy Suresh's Revolver Rita, Rajini Gaang, and Ondimuniyum Nallapaadanum in Tamil.
