Angammal gets new release date

Angammal, which is an adaptation of Perumal Murugan's Kodithuni, stars Geetha Kailasam and Saran Sakthi in the lead

Actor Geetha Kailasam's upcoming film Angammal, will now release on December 5. The film was earlier set to release on November 21.

The film is directed by Vipin Radhakrishnan, who adapts Perumal Murugan's short story Kodithuni. Vipin has also written the dialogues with Sudahar Das. Kaarthekeyen S, Firoz Rahim and Anjoy Samuel are producing the film. Karthik Subbaraj's Stone Bench Films banner is distributing the film.

Angammal's story revolves around the relationship between a mother and son, when the latter, a doctor returns to his village in hopes of marrying a girl. The son wants his mother to start wearing a blouse, which is something the mother is staunchly against. This tiff threatens their relationship.

The cast of the film also includes Saran Sakthi, Bharani, Mullaiyarasi, and Thendral Raghunathan.

Mohammed Maqbool Mansoor composes music for the film, with the rest of the crew including Anjoy Samuel as the director of photography and Pradeep Shankar as the editor.
