The makers of GDN, the biopic of industrialist GD Naidu, starring R Madhavan in the titular role, have wrapped a 45-day-long production schedule in Coimbatore. The other day, they made the announcement with a video where the cast and crew give out a hurray, marking the occasion. Vijay Moolan, who produces the film alongside Varghese Moolan under their namesake banner, congratulated the team for their "commendable work in executing the production plans to perfection." The film hails from writer-director Krishnakumar Ramakumar, known for his work in Oho Enthan Baby. Its cast also includes Jayaram, Priyamani, Sathyaraj, Dushara Vijayan, and Yogi Babu, among others.
Besides starring in the titular role, Madhavan is also producing the film alongside his spouse Sarita under their Tricolour Films banner. The film reunites Tricolour Films and Varghese Moolans Pictures after their collaboration on Rocketry: The Nambi Effect, also starring R Madhavan as Nambi Narayanan.
GDN's technical team includes music director Govind Vasantha as well as creative producer and cinematographer Aravind Kamalanathan. Recently, the film's makers released a poster giving a first look at Madhavan's character in the film, where the actor is virtually unrecognisable. In the recent past, Madhavan said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi recognised him instantly, despite the actor's makeup for the character.
