On Sunday, actor Aditi Rao Hydari revealed that she has an impersonator on WhatsApp who has been posing as her and messaging other people.
She took to her Instagram handle to issue a statement that read, "I wanted to flag something that a few people brought to my notice today. Someone has been pretending to be me on WhatsApp, using my pictures and messaging photographers about ‘photoshoots’. It isn't me. I don't reach out like this, and I don't use any personal number for work. Everything always goes through my team.”
She added, “Please be careful and don't engage with that number. If you come across anything odd, just let my team know. Thank you to all those who have my back and are so protective and kind.”
Recently, it was announced that Aditi Rao Hydari will be felicitated with the Diversity in Cinema Award at the upcoming edition of the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne (IFFM). The actor will attend the festival as a guest of honour. She will be recognised for her immense contribution to cinema and her impactful performances across mediums, a press release said.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Aditi was last seen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s historical series, Heeramandi, which came out on Netflix last year. She is currently shooting for Imtiaz Ali’s O Saathi Re, which also stars Arjun Rampal and Avinash Tiwary in pivotal roles. She is also set to collaborate with Pankaj Tripathi for the first time for a family entertainer titled Parivarik ManuRanjan.
