Kaantha Box Office: Dulquer Salmaan-starrer sees short rise in collections on Day 2

Kaantha is directed by Selvamani Selvaraj in his debut directorial, and stars Dulquer Salmaan and Bhagyashri Borse

Kaantha has seen a slow rise in its box office collection at the end of Day 2 of its theatrical run. The film, which stars Dulquer Salmaan and Bhagyashri Borse in the lead, released on November 14.

On the day of its release, it collected Rs 4.35 crores at the Indian box office, according to Sacnilk. At the end of the second day of its theatrical run, the film collected Rs 5 crores. So at the end of two days, the film collected Rs 9.35 crores at the Indian box office.

The film which is set in erstwhile Madras, in 1950, follows a clash between a superstar actor and his former mentor, which leads to grave outcomes. Rana Daggubati, Samuthirakani, Ravindra Vijay, Gayathrie Shankar, Nizhalgal Ravi, Bagavathi Perumal, and Vaiyapuri, also star in Kaantha.

CE's review of the Kaantha read, "Kaantha hits more than its fair share of bumps on the road, and sometimes, manages to stutter even when there aren’t any. But through it all, Kaantha is really held together by superlative performances by the principal cast, and the superior production value of the film."
