Jana Nayagan, actor Vijay's final film before he quits cinema for a full-time political career, has done massive business before its release, reports say. Reportedly, the film's pre-release business figures amount up to more than 325 crore. The industry tracker Sacnilk also backed these figures. According to the website, the film, directed by H Vinoth, has gained 80 crore from its overseas rights, 35 crore from audio rights, 110 crore from streaming rights. The Jana Nayagan pre-release business figures are set to go up when the makers sell its satellite rights. It is already one of the films with the biggest pre-release business in the history of Indian cinema.
According to Sacnilk, Allu Arjun and Sukumar's Pushpa 2: The Rule is the film that made the highest amount, a whopping 1000 crore, through business deals before its release. Reportedly, Rajinikanth's 2.0 is the highest-earning film pre-release in Tamil cinema.
Coming back to Jana Nayagan, the political actioner also stars Pooja Hegde, Bobby Deol in his Tamil debut, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Mamitha Baiju, Prakash Raj, Priyamani, and Narain. Produced by Venkat K Narayana of KVN Productions, with Jagadish Palanisamy and Lohith NK serving as co-producers, the film is slated for a January 09, 2026, release in theatres.
