It is well known that the grandson of the legendary actor Sivaji Ganesan, Dhaarshan Ganesan, is making his acting debut with Lenin Pandiyan, helmed by DD Balachandran. Notable musician-lyricist Gangai Amaran is playing the lead in the film.

The team, along with Dhaarshan's father Ramkumar, met with Rajinikanth to seek the latter's blessings and wishes. The production company Sathya Jyothi posted the images of the meeting.

Lenin Pandiyan also marks the return of actor-politician Roja Selvamani to Tamil films after over a decade. The film also stars Shrita Rao and Archana Ravichandran in prominent roles.

On the technical team, Lenin Pandiyan has cinematographer AM Edwin Sakay, editor Nagooran Ramachandran, and art direction by Athuuri Jeykumaar. The upcoming film is backed by Sathya Jyothi films, with TG Thyagarajan presenting.

Rajinikanth, meanwhile, was last seen in Lokesh Kanagaraj’s Coolie. He is working on the sequel to Jailer (2023), Jailer 2, with filmmaker Nelson Dilipkumar. Also, it was recently announced that the actor’s Thalaivar 173 would be produced by Kamal Haasan’s Raaj Kamal Films International and directed by Sundar C, with whom he previously collaborated in Arunachalam (1997).
