Gouri Kishan took to social media to respond to the apology of YouTuber RS Karthik, after the latter put forth questions regarding the actor's weight at a press meet for Gouri's film, Others.

Through her X handle, the actor wrote, "An apology without accountability isn’t an apology at all. Especially when it’s brushed off with 'she misunderstood the question — it was just a fun one,' or worse — 'I didn’t body-shame anyone.'"

She concluded her tweet by writing, "Let me be clear. I won’t accept performative remorse or hollow words. Do better, RS Karthik."

At a press meet for her film Others, YouTuber RS Karthik asked the lead actor about Gouri Kishan's weight. At a later press meet Gouri Kishan confronted the YouTuber. The video of the confrontation went viral and several personalities from the Tamil Film Industry showed support to Gouri Kishan, and lauded her on standing her ground against misogynistic questions.

Karthik later issued an apology through the YouTuber channel, and justified his stance by saying that Gouri Kishan took the question in a different way.
