At the pre-release event of Mask, director Nelson shared a few words about the story of the film. Mask is written and directed by Vikarnan Ashok, and stars Kavin and Andreah Jeremiah.

Nelson said, "Kavin and I have discussed the film a lot. Whenever he tells me something about the film, I have told him that whatever that I have seen is fresh and new, and goes on an offbeat path. The film has a space for dark comedy, and has executed that very well."

He added, "This is the first time that a film produced by Vetri Maaran has a lot of entertainment to it. Usually films backed by Vetri Maaran are socially concerned films. There is a slight social concern angle to it, but there is a lot of entertainment."

Mask is also produced by Andrea Jeremiah, and has music composed by GV Prakash Kumar. Ruhani Sharma also stars in the film. Mask is set to release theatrically on November 21.
